Kate Gorman
Bio
Most of my life at this point has been spent in Toronto. I love this city I call home, its smell and early morning vibrancy. I’m a painter and a maker of all types of things. I love to get lost in piles of books and pools of paint. Becoming entrenched in projects is what I am best at. I lose a piece of myself and find something else in every work I make. Graduate of OCADU in 2005.
Statement
A tryptic and part of the “solace” series, the work, “interpretation or delusion?” questions the lines dividing illness and normalcy. It also is a process of dealing with the unanswerable nature of the question, and finding in process of creation respite.
