Nate strives to teach print that is approachable, and accessible, in doing and in cost. Discover various ways to create lino cut prints at home with minimal supplies! Classes will be presented through a live demo via Zoom. Learn techniques for carving with an exacto knife, use paints and ink from around the house, and kitchen utensils in place of a baron and a roller! There will be a focus on lino in combination with other forms of inventive printmaking methods.

Each of our proposed activities will have varying levels to accommodate those students who are returning to our class as well as those who have never engaged with print. some of the techniques we will be exploring is lino cut printing, reductive printing, along with problem solving for producing prints at home or on a budget.

Materials that will be needed for this class are:
exacto knife/ lino cutter
water colour paint (ink if you can get some)
paper, (the best is the strathmore pad for printmaking) but really anything you got we can make work!
a wooden spoon

There are a limited quantity of printmaking kits available for artists who have access needs and require basic studio materials (drafting knife, lino, and paper). Please identify in your registration notes if you are in need of these supplies and a kit will be mailed to you; Available while supplies last.
