Take charge of your social media and visual online presence, to increase sales and exposure. Learn easy ways to improve image quality with the equipment you already have at home. This course will explore concept creation, planning photoshoots, expressing mood through lighting, how to develop clear visual communication, documentation, and best practices in social media. Photographers will leave the course knowing when an image doesn’t work and why, improve execution of their shooting a first image, and some basic website building skills.
The most recognized artists, are often the ones with the best business mindset, but business is a skill that can be learned, and lends itself well to creative thinking.
About the Instructor
Julie Riemersma is a Toronto based commercial and fine art photographer. With over 10 years of experience in creating bodies of work, and working for clients, she continues to experiment with photography and mixed media. Julie is particularly interested in the intersections of photography and other visual media, including site specific installations. Common themes in her work include nostalgia, mental health, perception, climate change and equality.
