This 3-part workshop series covers all you need for a Do-it-Yourself approach to getting your music up and out there.
Topics will include: Online presence - what it is and easy ways to do it. We'll learn about things like branding, social media, and electronic press kits.
Funding and outreach - sources such as grants and what they look for, and how to get your music out there.
Networking and other resources - how to pitch your music and some great places to gain further information. If time and group-size allows, members will be welcome to share and garner feedback on their plans and online presence.

About the instructor:
Gaja is a singer-songwriter who from the age of 6 loved to make up songs and sing them to herself. She has studied voice under University of Ottawa voice professor Yoriko Tanno-Kimmons, as well as singer Denise Williams. Gaja has learned from industry professionals in a variety of areas including: songwriting with Susan KoƧ, stage coaching from Tamara Beatty and Tom Jackson, and sound mixing from Evelyne Datl. Her experience building a music career from scratch taught Gaja many hard-won lessons, which she is excited to now share.
