× Instructor: Gaja Kuras
April 14 to June 16
Class time: Wednesdays 6:00 PM-8:00 PM

(This new ten-week course is an expansion on the workshop series of the same name from the winter term, but no prior experience is necessary.)

In this longer course we won’t just talk about how to release music, but we will go through the steps of a mock release. Participants will have the chance to follow along and plan their own musical release or simply learn the skills to be able to do it themselves at a later date.

We will go through the release process in greater detail, including branding, social media and how to make an electronic press kit. Focusing on how to Do-It-Yourself, we’ll cover the ins and outs of a promotional rollout, pitching, funding, publishing, and more!

Bring your favourite pen or pencil, and be ready to roll up your sleeves and get to business - the music business that is!

Access to the internet will be very important, as most of the topics covered will utilize online sites. Be prepared to have a way to fill in worksheets;having a printer to print them out and access/knowledge of googledocs may be helpful. Worksheets will be emailed.

*** If you require paperwork to be mailed, please make note of it in your registration notes. We will try our best to mail items every 2 weeks. Please expect potential delays. ***
