The workshop will provide participants with a comprehensive knowledge of the mechanics involved in producing a personal documentary film. The attendees will learn the basics of this type of filmmaking through the process of actually making a short film. They will learn how to find the cinematic equivalent for their ideas, for the stories they like, or for topics with which they are concerned. In order to realize their projects, participants will be taught how to develop their individual interests and their own unique conceptual approach.
About the instructor
Participants are required to have access to their own cell phone cameras or any other type of video recording device.Since completing his studies in film production at Concordia University, Roberto Santaguida’s films and videos have been shown in more than 300 international festivals. Roberto is the recipient of the K.M. Hunter Artist Award, the Chalmers Arts Fellowship and a fellowship from Akademie Schloss Solitude in Germany.
