using any video camera (phone, ipad, video camera etc), this virtual course covers shot types for video production. Topics include shot type descriptions, how they can be filmed for use together and strategies for how to capture them in real world situations.

Work will be reviewed during class time. Everyone is welcome. Participants are expected to self-manage uploading their footage. Willingness to reinforce/suport this with other participants is very welcome. This is an intermediate-to-advanced course and is open to all previous participants plus folks with some prior experience using digital cameras.

About the instructor: James Buffin is a multi-disciplinary media specialist with 30+ years in film, print, music and audio production. His work has been broadcast internationally and featured at the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Trauma Research Foundation, universities, churches, school boards and community groups all around the planet. James is also a peer facilitator and educator working for and with people impacted by trauma.
