Do you have a memoir, novel, spoken word performance piece or poetry book in the works? In this workshop, participants will be able to work towards the completion of an ongoing creative writing project under the mentorship of an award winning poet, spoken word artist and novelist with over twenty years teaching and mentorship experience. Receive feedback on your work from others as well as support to help you bring your project to fruition.

Materials: There aren't any specific materials required for the course - just Zoom access.



About the Instructor
Andrea Thompson MFA is an award-winning spoken word artist, poet, novelist, educator and essayist who has been publishing and performing her work for over twenty-five years. She is co-editor of the anthology, Other Tongues: Mixed-Race Women Speak Out, author of the novel, Over Our Heads and creator of the spoken word albums, One and Soulorations. You can find a sample of Andrea’s work on her website, and her new poetry collection, A Selected History of Soul Speak was recently released by Frontenac House.
