Class meets October 17 to November 21 Explore the world of watercolour using basic techniques and materials from around your home. Discover new ways of painting through experimentation. Watercolour is a fluid paint that can be re-hydrated when dry, this malleable paint has the power to create beautiful visual effects through the use of basic techniques like wet on wet, wax resist, dry brush and more. Harness your own unique painting style with a few basic tools and step by step instruction. each week we will explore a new painting method that will lead into a new work of art.
Materials: Watercolour kits to be provided by Instructor -1 set of 12 watercolour tube paints -2 brushes -1 pad of watercolour paper -2 watercolour cards

Materials to be provided by participants: -pencil/ eraser -table salt -1 wax crayon -sponge
About the instructor: Emma Moore is a Toronto base artist that loves to explore different mediums. Her work mainly focuses on botanicals and the hidden natural pockets of our city. Emma holds a BFA in Drawing and Painting from OCADU and has taught independent painting workshops within the community, in addition to the Art Cart Program. When she's not painting or journaling you'll find Emma digging up weeds in her community garden or watching movies with her cat Maple.
