Approximate running time: 2 hours

Toronto ON M6K 2B2

× Instructor: Hana Holubec & KC Cooper

12PM- 2PM

Class Description: This class will be led by both Hana Holubec and KC Cooper, who will facilitate the class on alternating weeks. The overall term will be based on reinforcing Improv Basics, as well as a new Improv Format. KC will be exploring and focusing on “yes and”, among other Improv basics. Games and exercises will be fun and low key: designed for both those who are new to Improv or those who wish to refresh and build their skills. On the alternating weeks that Hana is leading, she will be workshopping a new format (i.e The Armando, based in monologues from real life and improv scenes inspired by those monologues), as well as games and scene work aimed to foster joy and fun.

About the instructor: Hana Holubec is a comedian, writer and clown interested in all things playful and surprising. A regular performer at Baddog Theatre, Sweet Action Theatre, Comedy Bar and Second City, she is currently focusing on how to bring clown philosophy into other disciplines. Always by her side is Turtle (her dog).

KC Cooper has been a part of the Workman Improv group for 9 plus years; participating in classes, performances ( stage and others) and facilitating. In addition KC has trained at Second City, Play with Fire Improv and Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, while also exploring the field of Performance Arts.
