In this course, you will work on three separate small projects to learn about the tools and materials used in dry and wet felting. With plenty of hands-on instruction and support, you will learn how to select materials for your project, felt flat and three-dimensional designs with a specialized needle, and how to wet felt around a resist.
Materials: Materials will be provided by the instructor & WA.
About the instructor: Kat Singer (they/them) is a multimedia artist and educator living and working in Toronto. They are passionate about social justice and equity, maker culture, and sustainability. They are a textile enthusiast with a passion for felting. For Kat, the softness of the material, the repetitive motion of the needle, and the gentle rhythmic sound this activity produces combine to induce a relaxed, mindful state.
